Tudor cottage is a delightful recently refurbished Grade II listed fisherman's cottage. Set in the heart of East Looe, and less than a minutes walk from the golden sandy beach and harbour, it retains a wealth of traditional features and immense character whilst offering high standard modern comforts. Looe's award winning restaurants and traditional pubs are all within a short stroll of the cottage.
Tudor Cottage was built circa 1600 and is grade II listed with English Heritage. Set in one of the quaint narrow streets by the quayside of East Looe, you really get a cosy feeling when you open up the door of the cottage and step in. On entering the cottage you will see the large welcoming open fireplace with a traditional woodburning stove and original ceiling timbers and window seat. The dining area has a large wooden table with six comfortable wooden chairs.
Through this room is the recently refurbished fully equipped kitchen with solid oak worktops, antique oak dresser, slate floor and modern appliances including electric fan oven and electric hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster & kettle.
Following up the spiral staircase, said to wind around an authentic ships mast, is the lounge area equipped with two comfortable sofas, foot rest, TV, DVD and hi-fi system. Leading off is the second (twin) bedroom, with matching bedside tables, wardrobe and drawer space. Continuing up the spiral staircase is the luxury master bedroom full of charm with king size bed, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams (one of which is 4ft high! - see photograph), Juliet balcony, ample wardrobe space, chest of drawers and matching bedside tables.
Also on the second floor is the luxury bathroom, complete with coordinating white bathroom suite, quality Mira power shower above the bath with glass shower screen. A heated towel rail and vanity unit above the pedestal wash hand basin are additional features.

Notes on accommodation
Stair gates and latched doors are provided for the safety of young children. Smoke alarms installed on each floor, CO detector fitted to boiler, gas appliances tested annually. No smoking allowed. No pets allowed.
Not suitable for wheelchairs.

Tudor Cottage is less than a minutes walk away from the safe, golden sandy beach of Looe, The beach has many rock-pools to explore and activities on the beach in high season. The picturesque quayside and harbour, award winning restaurants and local traditional pubs are also less than a minutes walk from the cottage.
There a a variety of quality golf clubs within a short drive.
Special interest holidays
Looe has a National shark fishing centre with boats available for charter. Looe also has it's own sailing club and is host to various regattas throughout the year. The Eden Project is approx 30 min drive.
Nearest airport Plymouth 25 miles. Nearest Port Plymouth 20 miles. Looe train station is a 5 min walk from the cottage and links Looe to Liskeard (and the National network) via a lovely picturesque railway running along the river. Pay and display car parking is available (approx £15 to £24 per week depending on season) at the Millpond Car Park (5 min walk) with luggage drop off at the property on arrival and departure.
The Eden Project - The amazing and successful attraction near St. Austell. Lost Gardens of Heligan. Looe town centre is less than one minutes walk and has a large variety of local shops, fresh fish market, boutiques, supermarket, greengrocers, Post Office, restaurants, cafes, traditional pubs and a Tourist Office. Various high street banks can be found. The cottage contains a wide range of tourist information and leaflets for days out and other leisure activities. Various traditional pubs and award winning restaurants are less than a minutes walk away.
Changeover day is Saturdays. Guests must vacate the cottage by 10am on day of departure. Arrivals are after 3.00pm to allow enough time to prepare the cottage to its highest standard.
